CMS has issued its fiscal year 2027 final rule updating Medicare payment rates and policies for acute care hospitals under the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) and for long-term care hospitals (LTCHs). The rule also revises graduate medical education funding for teaching hospitals, modifies quality program requirements, and incorporates updated health IT standards adopted by ONC.
